It's been unseasonably warm, but leave dried leaves and twigs in the garden until daytime temperatures reach 10 Celsius/50 Fahrenheit for at least seven consecutive days. The bees will thank you!
An explanation for those who ‘insist’ on making the garden. NEAT and tidy in fall. They came and blew all the leaves out of my front flower bed! Chrysanthemums bloom late into September and October when nothing else does; I have seen them alive , abuzz , with native bees. Thank you Doreen for continuing to break trail and keep folks informed.
