This is so infuriating. Classic Conservative strategy of undermining a public system through "death by a thousand cuts" to create a "need" of a private system for the wealthy.
The Kadri Surgical Centre is actually a satellite surgical suite, owned and operated by the London Health Sciences Centre. Regrettably, the Ford government chooses photo ops and spin rather than meaningful investment in our public hospitals. There is more than enough capacity in our public system. Public dollars were meant to pay for public services, not profit margins of private investors.
I wonder if all agency nurses have Ontario certification. In my year of experience through homecare for my mother in law , the majority of them were born and trained in another country. I have no problem with the nurses but felt that they were being exploited.
