I have lived near and known Indigenous people all my early life. We have much to gain from Indigenous knowledge and we need to respect what they have endured and survived. The cruelest cut was demoralizing people to feel that they were “just dirty old Indians.”
The young men fought in WW 2 but when they returned, they were still denied the vote or the privilege of buying alcohol.
